About: Nie Mingjue is the former leader of the Qinghe Nie Clan and the older half-brother of Nie Huaisang. Titled Chifeng-Zun, he is also a member of the Venerated Triad, alongside Jin Guangyao and Lan Xichen, who took a prominent part in defeating Wen Rouhan and the Wen clan during the Sun-Shot Campaign, which profoundly impacted the cultivation world. At 191 cm, Nie Mingjue is the tallest character in the novel. His waist is narrow and his shoulders broad.

Wei Wuxian describes his contoured abdominal muscles as a physique "countless men would dream to have." Although Nie Mingjue ranks seventh in looks among the young masters of the cultivation world, his formidable appearance gives the impression that he can start burning with rage at any moment. Nie Mingjue is well known for his strictness and violent temper. His temper only worsened over the years, as the saber spirit of his clan's cultivation methods began to take hold of him.

He is strict and has an intolerance for anything deviating from his definition of morality. He publicly experienced an imbalance in his qi, common in his clan (aka a Qi deviation), and disappeared soon thereafter. Dying with his body scattered across the realms.

Upon revival, his temper has simmered due to the effects of the Qi deviation having dissipated, but his stubbornness remains. The anger was replaced by a simmering worry over whether or not his imbalance, and thus his rage, might return.

Other: Being a major character and integral piece of the plot for Mo Dao Zu Shi, Nie Mingjue is a character with a lot of spoiler warnings for the ending of the series. If you do not wish to be spoiled in any regard, feel free to comment below, and I will take note of it!

Fighting/Injury: Yes - Feel free to contact me if you wish to plot any major injury. I am perfectly comfortable with the idea and already had him shot in the chest once in the TDM. He does have a steel-skin ability which makes it a lot harder for anything lighter then a magically imbued axe strike to even leave a scratch on him.
Character Death: Yes - BUT BE FOREWARNED; Due to canon circumstances, Nie Mingjue is cursed to become a relentless and resentful walking corpse/ zombie upon death. In this state he is near-invincinle and the canon series never found a way to permanently destroy him, instead chosing to seal him away. When in this state he will do everything in his power to mindlessly hunt down his killer and all those related to him. Injury to the brain and heart do not hinder him and even chopping him into various pieces will only make those parts cause individual damage until they manage to reattach themselves. His able to also pisses others around them and in that possession also turn them into mindless zombies that will join in his hunt. Due to this, it has been discussed with the mods that, if he dies, he will only go into this state for a half an hour before suddenly vanishing and reawakening alive in the flower garden.
